  • This role will require an average of 4-7 hours per week, inclusive of team meetings.*

*The adjustment of workloads is something we are happy to discuss at the interview stage, as need be. What our current mentors think...

It has been a privilege to be an academic mentor as part of the YMAS 24 programme. One thing that surprised me was how growth-orientrated Al Quds have been. This is visible across the organisation but particularly impacted me as an academic mentor. I was able to see the efforts taken to continuously improve the sessions and strive for ihsan. Al Quds have put lots of thought into providing comprehensive training for mentors and also resources for delivering the sessions.

The education team’s efforts in creating the lesson content has been great. I like the setup of the Miro boards; its format is easy to follow, it is well structured and there are nice colours, themes, pictures. I also really liked the implementation of the flash cards. The education team are also very supportive and were very quick to resolve any issues/concerns I had. Also I think keeping us in the loop with a newsletter is a good idea.

Alhamdulillah, AQ has allowed me to grow in all these technical areas but also instilled this sense of responsibility within me as I've been initiated my mentor journey. Mentioned it before in a call but the way other members and even some students carry themselves is always an inspiration to continue bettering my self bi-idhnitAllah.

Amazing to say the least... the effort each sector of alquds puts in to pump out high quality work is astounding, and honestly I think the only reason something like alquds has ran so well on its first attempt is because of the purity of intentions and subsequently the barakah Allah has granted us, inshaa`Allah - Allahu a'lam.

The digital resources like the Miro board, Educake and homework questions are great and really useful. The team is always ready to help with any issues and answer all questions promptly.

I don't think people realise the individual positive impact it has had on us as mentors. It constantly pushes us to improve ourselves, renews our intentions and encourages us to reflect to deliver the best to our students. The community is fantastic and sisterhood is very strong mash’Allah.
